A: Credit cards are mandatory for the security deposit. This blocked amount is not deducted from the card unless there are charges added to a contract after the Goldstar vehicle has been returned.

A: The security deposit is not charged to the card so there is no actual refund from Goldstar. However, it can take up to 15 days or fewer, (depending on the card provider or bank) for the block to be released. After that the customer can use the blocked amount.

A: UAE Resident Visa holders must have held a Valid UAE driving license for over a year. For visitors with a GCC passport, a valid GCC Country driving license along with passport & ID card is required. Non GCC Nationals with GCC driving license also need to provide a valid residence visa of the country from where the driving license was issued. Visitors from other countries, a valid International driving license and home country driving licence is mandatory.

A: Yes, the renter must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driving license for at least one year from the date of issue.

A: Yes, an additional driver can be added for a minimal charge. Kindly Inform our rental agent at the time of opening the contract and make sure that the additional driver is legally entitled to drive in the UAE.

A: The minimum rental period is 24 hours from the time of renting.

A: A grace period of 1 hours is provided, which converts to one full day rental if exceeded.

A: Level to level. Vehicle will also need to be returned to Goldstar with the same level of fuel.

A: Mileage limitation is the number of kilometres you will be able to drive free of cost. It will depend upon on the vehicle and your rental contract. Any excess usage will lead to an extra mileage charge which varies from AED 0.50 to AED 0.80 per Kilometre, based on the type of vehicle.

A: Off-road use is a violation of the rental agreement and is strictly forbidden.

A: The hirer is liable to pay the applicable insurance excess of Aed1500.00 to 2500.00 in case of an accident where the hirer is at mistake or the Third party is unknown.

A: The CDW is an optional protection you can purchase with your vehicle rental agreement. It reduces your financial liability for repairing costs if your hire vehicle is damaged. You usually agree to an excess fee, meaning you’ll cover the cost of any repairs up to this amount. That can be avoided by purchasing CDW when opening the contract. CDW cannot added during the rental period. (A police report is mandatory in all cases.)

A: Goldstar Rent a Car offers 24-hour breakdown and roadside assistance with all rental agreements. If a vehicle is involved in an accident, the car should not be moved unless the damage is minor and the vehicle is causing an obstruction to the traffic. The customer should call the police (999) and stay with the vehicle, provided it is safe to do so. A police report has to be submitted to Goldstar rent a car, so we can make an Insurance claim. Please note that insurance coverage is void if a valid police report is not provided.

A: Parking in UAE is readily available. Parking along the roadside is paid parking with parking meters installed. Parking charges vary by time of the day and parking zone. Customers need to check the parking zone they are using and pay the appropriate fee when parking their rented vehicle to avoid the fine.
